Amateur radio operators are encouraged to participate in severe weather
preparedness activities sponsored by local, state and federal agencies.
This Wednesday, March 17, 2010, Indiana, and most of the communities within,
will conduct two statewide tornado drills to test and practice readiness as
we approach severe weather season. They will be:
Between 10:15am and 10:30am, and;
Between 7:30pm and 7:45pm
WARN will be on the air on 146.88Mhz for both drills. Amateur radio
operators in and near Indiana should check in to their local weather nets as
normal so the number of check-ins per county can be forwarded to the
National Weather Service through the regular amateur radio channels.
