WARN Website Improvements

Greetings all,
In honor of the new weather season, we've dusted off the WARN.org web site
and made several upgrades. If you haven't visited lately, you might take
a peek...
REAL AUDIO:
We now have a live Real Audio feed. A 60 channel scanner is currently
dedicated to this task. When unattended, we'll be running NOAA Weather
Radio KIH42 from the Greater Cincinnati / Northern Kentucky Airport in a
regular channel, and the 146.88 MHz repeater (Cinti. FM Club) in the
priority channel to cover the WARN weather nets. When attended, we may
experiment with the 60 channels. Suggestions and requests are welcome.
Admittedly, this won't be very interesting for folks in the Cincinnati
area
who already have access to our local airwaves, but it will give others
outside our area a chance to listen in. We've been seeing five to ten
listeners per day so far.
SEARCH ENGINE:
The underlying software that's used to search all local ham club websites
has been changed. It now has a much better interface allowing more
precise
and more flexible searches, and the large number of duplicate pages has
been greatly reduced.
ODDS AND ENDS:
The main menu of the site is now better organized, and it has been changed
to a text based menu listing, so pages should load a little more quickly
in
general.
As always, there's plenty to see and do (and learn) at the site, so make a
trip by for the new season!

Take care, and be very careful if you have to go out in the 4 to 8 inches
of snow predicted over the next day or so. Brrrrr! I could've sworn we
were ready for spring...
