Greetings from WARN Central!

We receive many requests for information on how to become a ham radio
operator. Here is information on two upcoming licensing classes in the
Cincinnati area. This information is also available on the WARN web page
at
http://www.warn.org.

The Queen City Emergency Net will hold classes at the Red Cross building,
720 Sycamore, downtown Cincinnati, starting Tuesday evening, September 1,
1998 and continuing each Tuesday night until November 3rd. The class is
held
from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Our program involves interactive instructor
training with multimedia presentations and book study. Exams are available
at the Hartwell Presbyterian Church the Saturday following the completion
of
classes.

The non-refundable class fee is $20. The class textbook is also necessary
($19), available from Radio Shack or R&L Electronics, among other places.
For pre-registration and to get details about the necessary course
materials, please
