Apparently.

There is a risk of severe weather on Wednesday, December 23.  This 
situation is a little "extra urgent" because travelers (other than you 
who are reading this, that is) generally don't pay attention to the 
weather around them or the conditions where they are going.  And the 
fact they are out on the roads, makes travelers at more risk even if 
they are aware of their current/future situation.

Past history would indicate that NWS will have a low threshhold for 
activating the SkyWARN networks and issuing watches/warnings for 
incoming weather in scenarios like this.

Be safe out there, and please be ready to assist/report, if you are in 
the area.
