There are 2 spotter training classes in the Cincinnati area this week:

Tuesday, February 11 - 6:30 P.M.

Boone County Public Safety Campus

3000 Conrad Lane

Burlington, KY 41005

Stephen Hearne, 859-334-2279

Wednesday, February 12 - 6:30 P.M.

Switzerland County Technology and Education Center

708 W. Seminary St.

Vevay, IN 47043

Connie Wallace, 812-427-4300

We know it's hard to get into the mindset for severe storms, tornadoes and
flooding when it's all ice and snow, but now is the time. There is only a
little over a month until spring begins. We highly recommend you find a
class that fits your schedule and mark it on your calendar. Once these
classes are over, there probably will not be any more until next year. The
full spotter training center for the Wilmington Office of the NWS can be
viewed at: http://www.erh.noaa.gov/iln/training.php.

Finally, for those of you who would like to attend the annual advanced
spotter training class which is only taught once a year, it will be held in
Dayton this year on March 8th. The advanced class is in the afternoon, and
follows a basic class that will be taught in the morning. For more
information on the advanced class, visit:
http://www.erh.noaa.gov/iln/advanced.php.
