This Tuesday, March 2nd, Kentucky will conduct a state-wide tornado drill
that will occur at approximately 10:07 a.m., with schools, businesses and
households encouraged to test their safety plans. The tornado drill will
also coincide with a test of local Outdoor Warning Sirens, Weather Service
Radio Alerts, and the Emergency Alert System. Communities all around
Kentucky plan to participate in the statewide severe weather drill - as part
of Kentucky Severe Weather Awareness Month.

WARN will be on the air for this drill, so hams in Kentucky (and elsewhere)
are encouraged to check in during the drill. Please do so promptly because
these drills usually do not last very long.

There is also supposedly a spotter course Tuesday in Campbell County at
6:30PM, but details are sketchy, with the National Weather Service web site
listing only TBA for location and contact information.
