WARN in the News

Greetings from WARN Central.

It appears we have a couple celebrities in our midst! Mike Nie KB8VMX and
Steve Lewis N8TFD were featured on the channel 9 news last night (5/5/99)
in a segment about Cincinnati area weather spotters. You can view the
story in its entirety using Real Video - it's available on the WARN web
site at:

  http://warn.org/video

They did a fantastic job of describing WARN and how we interface with the
National Weather Service. Also of interest; Steve's portion of the story
takes place at the console of the WARN Net Control Point, located at WLW
radio station.

It's good to see a little publicity for a group that often goes completely
unmentioned in spite of its role in the weather warning process. And it
looks like we were very professionally represented by Mike and Steve.

Great job, guys!
